THE TROUBLE WITH MEN AND WOMEN (95 mins) A bitter-sweet romantic tale set in London, depicting the sentimental education of a young man who is absurdly confused about women. Matt is looking for love, but encounters betrayal, lust and loneliness. Matt's entire world turns upside down when his long-term girlfriend, Deborah, leaves him for New York. The repercussions are extensive, affecting everyone around Matt - particularly his closest friends, Vinnie and Susie - the perfect couple, who try in vain to cheer him up. They offer him all manor of advice on 'getting over it'. Other mates who consider themselves experts on matters relating to the female species attempt to teach Matt the art of flirting. He soon heeds to their collective wisdom, and embarks on a series of disastrous liaisons with women he cannot begin to comprehend. To make matters worse, Vinnie and Susie's relationship becomes more and more strained, proving evermore to Matt the perplexing nature of love. Matt returns to his single life - serving coffee to customers at an Internet cafe, until he finds someone who appears to be a perfect replacement for Deborah -- a sophisticated French girl he meets on the tube. Ultimately, Matt's misunderstanding of the opposite sex gets him into the worst kind of trouble, and he has to somehow learn to fight in order to win the woman he loves. Cast JOSEPH MCFADDEN
